Here's my sample post for this topic:
I have to start by saying that for me to study a new career or to deepen my knowledge in English teaching, a lot of changes would have to occur, as I'm not willing to get a ton of debt to specialize again. I studied my career with CAE and I really didn't know what it was when I was 18. So now, ten years later, I'd consider it twice before signing a contract with a bank that will profit from student loans.
Now, if the conditions were right, I'd probably study something related to Linguistics. Linguistics is the science that studies the language, not only knowing how to speak, but also how languages are learnt and how different contexts affect different languages. In other words, it could be said like this:
"Each human language is a complex of knowledge and abilities enabling speakers of the language to communicate with each other, to express ideas, hypotheses, emotions, desires, and all the other things that need expressing. Linguistics is the study of these knowledge systems in all their aspects: how is such a knowledge system structured, how is it acquired, how is it used in the production and comprehension of messages, how does it change over time?"
Understanding these factors can really help a teacher become more able to teach a wide varierty of students and also, in my opinion, knowing about how languages work, can reveal some of the patterns that can be found in human behavior.
The aspects of Linguistics in which I'm more interested in are Sociolinguistics and Psycholinguistics.
Now it's your turn:

The CAE is awful, is a "great" gift from public policies
ResponderEliminarI think to study something related to linguistic would be a great advantage for a teacher, expanding knowledge, it's difficult to pay without bank support
ResponderEliminarSociolinguistics and Psycholinguistics are interesting becuase you can analyze more than "just words". The way we communicate says a lot of us and our culture.
ResponderEliminarhow the language works is a very interesting topic, you could find patterns that explain the development of languages too.
ResponderEliminarTeacher I think what you say about the CAE is a problem that affects a many students who want to continue studying, unfortunately we are far from a change.
ResponderEliminarthe CAE is terrible, but it's the one of the few options that the people who wants to study have.
ResponderEliminarYou have an interesting way to see the linguistic context and how it affects the human behaviour. This is a great way of thinking, cactus maniac.
ResponderEliminarI wish there were better options to pay superior studies (anything is better than CAE), but it seems like we'll have to wait a long time for it.
ResponderEliminarTeacher, I didn't know so much about the linguistic, but I see that is a complex and useful science.
ResponderEliminarI always liked the area of health, so I don't know whats is linguistic (because it sounds very humanist). But I think that it is great, because the people can expand their capabilities and always be learning from the words.
ResponderEliminarOh! It sounds like a humanist career, I have always been bad on that but I'ts a very beautiful career
ResponderEliminarGreat definition of linguistics. It sounds interesting and the specialization seems appropriate for you.
ResponderEliminarAll of what the CAE has done is so much BS.
ResponderEliminarI never looked too much into linguistics, but what you submitted here explains some of it very good, nice insight.
We have to think a lot when we are about to course a specialization because of the money that we would have to spend, good point
